Welcome!
The credit union for you and your family.

Since 2022, we’ve been in partnership with UDW to bring you your very own credit union. What does this mean for you, your families, and communities? You can expect day-to-day benefits like 120,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide, get paid up to 2 days early, exclusive offers, and low interest rate loans. We also offer financial wellness classes and several counseling services free of charge to help you achieve a secure financial future.

We are much like labor unions, not-for-profit organizations designed to serve our members. We don’t have shareholders, but instead return profits to our membership through inclusive accounts, competitive rates, and convenient access to your funds.

And that’s precisely why PCU and UDW partnered to create products and services designed specifically for you. We already serve workers in the healthcare industry, and even offer a low interest rate loan just for care workers when they need a helping hand. You work hard for your money, and you deserve a member-first financial institution that respects you and helps you manage your money wisely.

Come join and discover what thousands of UDW members have come to expect – better products, exceptional service, easy access. Less banking. More time for you.

Boost Your Savings with a Share Certificate

Certificates are an easy, safe, and secure way to boost your savings with as little as $1,000!

A Certificate savings account earns a higher interest rate than many traditional savings accounts. But the money must remain untouched in the Certificate account for a set amount of time, or term, while it earns that guaranteed rate of interest.

Check out our short video explaining how Certificates work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will every UDW member qualify?

If you or your family are a UDW member, staff, or retiree member you may be eligible to join PCU.

We will do everything we can to have you join PCU. We want to ensure more care workers have access to affordable interest loans, higher savings yields, lower fees, and financial advice. Everyone’s case is unique. We want to hear your story and find all the ways to say “YES”. We’ll work to help you take control of your finances by providing only the best products and services.

How do UDW member sign up for a PCU account?

For many care workers, working long hours can make it hard to stay on top of their finances, so we’ve made it easy to join the Credit Union. You don’t even have to leave the house!

Simply enter your Last Name and UDW Member ID into the form on the sidebar of the UDW page to begin your application.

Why should a UDW member join PCU?

We’re excited to partner with UDW, another not-for-profit organization rooted in understanding the needs and wants of care workers. The care industry and community share a lot in common with the spirit of credit unions – people helping people! PCU and UDW put members first. Both of us lead by example: to ensure our members are financially protected and successful.

What makes PCU different?

We’re grateful to be a part of a community committed to helping those in need, especially when they’re the very people who provide essential services to our communities.

For 60 years, our members and employees have volunteered their time and donated their money to serve local organizations including Camp Erin, Kells Green Rain Event, Oregon Food Bank, Portland Festival of Trees and the Providence Helping Hand Fund. We understand the pressures that home health workers and family child care providers can face. That’s why we offer free financial counseling to help you reach your goals.

Who is Providence Credit Union (PCU)?

We’re a not-for-profit financial cooperative originally created for Providence healthcare employees and their families based in Oregon. Since 1962, we’ve been creating and designing products and services specifically for healthcare professionals, their families, and partners. We’re more than just a place to put your money, deposit your checks or take out a loan (though we do that too). As a credit union, we work with our members to create lifelong financial success regardless of how much they deposit or borrow, including frequently underserved and underbanked groups.

Providence FCU doesn’t warrant, guarantee or insure any products or services offered by participating merchants. The Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Credit Union membership is required before utilizing any product and/or service by establishing a savings account with $5.00. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.
