UDW has partnered with Providence Federal Credit Union (PFCU) to bring you your very own credit union!
Made for you and your family
Since 1962, we’ve been helping care workers like you, your families, and your partners. We go beyond 120,000 surcharge-free ATMs, low-interest rate loans, and free checking and savings accounts to offer free personal counseling on your finances.
YOUR UNION’S CREDIT UNION
We combine all the traditional friendliness of a credit union with the modern banking services care workers need.
It Starts With $5
$5 is all it takes to open a savings account. Then, just like a big bank, you can easily access your account anywhere, anytime: in-person, face-to-face via mobile, and online chat. But, unlike a bank, you’re not just another account number. We are here to help, listen, and do our best to say “yes”.
Great member service. Things are done in a reasonable amount of time. PFCU really makes you feel like family.
Thanks to Diana and Alberta for help me with my loan. It was easy for me to understand everything with you guys. God bless you.
L. P. R. Arteaga
Even online the sign-up process was very easy. Document signing went smoothly. I would recommend this this Union to everyone.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you at UDW and helping you find the best financial solutions to fit your lifestyle! I recently moved to San Diego, CA from Phoenix, AZ, and I can’t wait to connect with the local community culture. I have to say my hero is my mom! She has taught me so much and to always follow my dreams. And here I am!
Questions? We have answers!
We’re a not-for-profit financial cooperative originally created for Providence healthcare employees and their families based in Oregon. Since 1962, we’ve been creating and designing products and services specifically for healthcare professionals, their families, and partners. We’re more than just a place to put your money, deposit your checks or take out a loan (though we do that too). As a credit union, we work with our members to create lifelong financial success regardless of how much they deposit or borrow, including frequently underserved and underbanked groups.
We’re excited to partner with UDW, another not-for-profit organization rooted in understanding the needs and wants of care workers. The care industry and community share a lot in common with the spirit of credit unions – people helping people! PFCU and UDW put members first. Both of us lead by example: to ensure our members are financially protected and successful.
We're grateful to be a part of a community committed to helping those in need, especially when they're the very people who provide essential services to our communities. For nearly 60 years, our members and employees have volunteered their time and donated their money to serve local organizations including Camp Erin, Kells Green Rain Event, Oregon Food Bank, Portland Festival of Trees and the Providence Helping Hand Fund. We understand the pressures that home health workers and family child care providers can face. That’s why we offer free financial counseling to help you reach your goals. Don't forget our Care Worker Loan: it can help you get the funds you need, build positive credit, and create savings for your future.
For many care workers, working long hours can make it hard to stay on top of their finances, so we’ve made it easy to join the Credit Union. You don’t even have to leave the house!
Online: Using the page form, enter your Last Name and UDW Member ID.

We will do everything we can to have you join PFCU. We want to ensure more care workers have access to affordable interest loans, higher savings yields, lower fees, and financial advice. Everyone’s case is unique. We want to hear your story and find all the ways to say “YES”. We’ll work to help you take control of your finances by providing only the best products and services.
We don’t see you as an account number. That’s why we’ve designed financial solutions as unique as you are to help you live the life you want. Our Care Worker Loan helps cover the cost of life’s emergencies. You’ll also find options from interest-bearing checking accounts with no minimums or fees to second chance checking accounts while you are rebuilding your finances.
Have children or grandchildren 10 and under? Check out our special Cub Account Program that includes one of the highest CD rates to help kids save - a 12-month Cubby Certificate at 5% APY**. We love saving! And we want our young members to feel the same way. We’re not above bribery, so the Cub Account comes with lots of goodies little ones will love! What you’ll love is seeing your newborns through teens learning how to budget and use their funds wisely.
Plus, throughout the year, we offer special low-rate financing as well as extra perks/rewards you won’t find anywhere else.

I look forward to helping you here in San Diego with your financial needs. Feel free to ask me any questions about our products! One quote I live by is “Life can be very easy when love is your way of life”. It made me realize that no matter your situation, you should always choose to do things with love and compassion.
Providence FCU doesn’t warrant, guarantee or insure any products or services offered by participating merchants. The Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Credit Union membership is required before utilizing any product and/or service by establishing a savings account with $5.00. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.
