Every Providence employee, intern, contractor, retiree and family member is eligible to join. When you become a member, you get a level of service that no other financial institution can offer.
A CREDIT UNION FOR THE PROVIDENCE FAMILY
When you join Providence Federal Credit Union, you can remain a member for life (not to brag, but most do). Membership comes with quite a few perks. Digital tools and approximately 90,000 surcharge-free ATMs - services you wouldn't expect from a place where they know you by name. Plus, you get all the truly personalized guidance you need to achieve financial wellness.
Tailored to Caregivers
We know how hard it can be for caregivers to set aside the time to care for their finances - so we have options that keep things easy. Like, live financial coaching that's available when you are, emergency cash for unplanned expenses and help refinancing medical school loans—financial wellness starts with PFCU.
Odds are, you don't wish you spent more time banking. So don't. With our digital tools, everyday tasks—from paying bills to depositing checks—couldn't be easier. The same goes for not-so-everyday tasks, like applying for a loan or calculating new payment amounts. You can even video chat with a PFCU team member.
Our rates are better than most financial institutions. There, we said it. That's because we don't have to turn a portion of your money's earnings over to shareholders each month. Well, technically, we do - each member is a shareholder.
Not a bank. Not for Profit.
There's nothing like knowing your finances are managed by people who don't profit from them. As a federal credit union, we are member owned and member led. If you're a "power to the people" person, we're just your kind of institution.
Your Financial Wellness
We're more than a place to deposit your checks or take out a loan. We're invested in the growth of our members. From premier digital tools to live classes and online courses, we do everything we can to help our members improve their financial wellness.
Who can join?
It's actually quite simple: if you or a family member work for Providence Health or any of its subsidiaries, you can join.
Providence FCU doesn’t warrant, guarantee or insure any products or services offered by participating merchants. The Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Credit Union membership is required before utilizing any product and/or service by establishing a savings account with $5.00. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.
