‘Tis The Season to Skip A Pay
There’s no doubt about it — this time of year can be expensive. From gifts for everyone on your list to delicious food and celebrations with loved ones, the holidays can certainly take a toll on our bank accounts.
Good news! Providence Federal Credit Union’s Skip-A-Pay program may let you skip your December 2023 or January 2024 loan payment and free up that money for whatever you like. And, if you have more than one loan, you can skip one month’s payment for each!*

You can even apply for Skip-A-Pay through our online banking or mobile banking app. Simply follow these easy steps:
- Log in to the PFCU Mobile App or Online Banking.
- Select More Services.
- Click Skip A Loan Payment.
- Fill in the information and submit.

*All requests are subject to approval and Credit Union membership is required. Qualified loans to skip are: Auto, Visa Credit Card, Personal, and Personal Lines of Credit. Not valid on Mortgage, Home Equity, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Student Loans, Care Worker, Payday and Relief loans. You and all of your loans must be in good standing with the Credit Union. Interest will continue to accumulate on your loan during the month you skip your payment. The length of your payments will be extended by one month. Payments made through Payroll Deduction or Direct Deposit will be deposited into your Savings Account. You must have made at least six (6) months of consecutive payments on your loan and have no late payment greater than 30 days. All loan payments must be current to qualify. Members are limited to two (2) extensions per calendar year per loan, with a minimum of 60 days between each skip-a-pay. The $30 processing fee per loan will automatically be deducted from your PFCU Savings or Checking Account unless proper payment has been sent. The following months qualify for skips: December 2023 or January 2024.
Please read if you have an automatic (ACH) payment: If you have an automatic (ACH) payment that comes from another financial institution and we did not originate the ACH, please be sure to contact your financial institution to suspend your payment for the skipped month. If it’s set up through your PFCU Online Banking, simply go in and cancel the ACH, then reset it back.
