Business Development Officer in Milwaukie, Oregon

DESCRIPTION:
Providence is calling a full-time Business Development Officer to Providence Credit Union Administrative Office in Milwaukie, OR.

In this position, you will:
•    Play a key role in helping Providence Credit Union meet its strategic membership and sales goals.
•    Proactively develop, implement, and manage strategies and activities to promote growth and positioning of the Credit Union and its products and services.
•    Maintain the credit union’s relationship with key representatives within the field of membership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications for this position include:
•    Associate's degree in business, marketing -or-
•    3-5 years of equivalent work related experience with credit union.
•    Prior sales experience.
•    Experience in contributing to a sales culture or in a public relations environment -or-
•    5 years of credit union business development or marketing.
•    Familiarity with all aspects of credit union services (lending, compliance, savings products, electronic account access, etc).
•    High level of self motivation.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Ability to present ideas in both a business-friendly and user-friendly language.
•    Must be bondable.

Member Service Representative in Portland, Oregon

DESCRIPTION:
Providence is calling a full-time Member Service Representative for a day shift opening to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:
•    Provide members with efficient, friendly, prompt service in person or by telephone for all member service transactions and information requests.
•    Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the values and mission of Providence Credit Union.
Note: Providence Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial cooperative, is a separate and distinct legal entity from Providence Health and Services. Applicants for open positions at PFCU that are currently employed by Providence Health and Services are considered on the same basis as all other applicants

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications for this position include:
•    High School graduate or GED equivalent
•    Possess one or more of the following:
•    Prior credit union or financial services experience
•    Accounting background
•    1 to 5 years (minimum) prior employment in a customer service position that required cash handling
•    Must be bondable
•    Complete required training on an annual basis or as needed

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
•    Credit union or financial services experience
